I spoke to an elderly lady recently who admires my mother's hand knit socks and proudly wears a black and white pair when it's cold. She is 86 years years old and she is very stylish in everything, from her clothing to her home decor. Her world is painted in black, white, gold and silver and it looks gorgeous!
The lady loved her socks but she was surprised to see me knitting also. Are you enjoying it, she asked? I said, I do and she was surprised with my answer. I never made a thing, she said. I love to decorate but I don't want to know how to make things.
Well, everyone is different, I guess. I love my little quiet creative happy hours with a cup of black coffee (no sugar please). I like to have some color in my life. And I almost feel sick when I can not get some time for myself.
People are creative in different ways. Some like to create, some like to put someone else's creations all together and cherish it for a lifetime. But in a end we are all enjoy these little life pleasures called HAND MADE.
