Let's go fishing!

Do you have some plans for this weekend? If not, let's go fishing!

I was in a mood for outdoors today so I made this treasury. It is so hot here in Arizona right now that you wish you could be somewhere up north and go to the lake or an ocean fishing trip.

Please enjoy browsing!

Snowflake to cross stitch, free design

The holidays are in the air and it's time to think of decorating our homes. I stitched this very simple snowflake design for my tree and thought I would share it with you.

I finished it as an ornament but you can put it on a post card or use it for the elegant accent winter linen pillow. As the ornament it will looks lovely on a door knob or a Christmas tree.

I used evenveawe fabric in my design, some DMC colored cotton threads and golden metallic thread, Swarovski Crystals, a tassel and some ribbon. Feel free to decorate your work as your wish!

If you are needing some of the materials I will sell some of mine - please let me know!

Happy Holidays!

Ocean Breeze

Hot, hot, hot! While it is nice and breathable in some parts of country it is just miserably hot here in Phoenix. I am melting, melting...

A drink of cold water is a natural way to refresh yourself, however a swimming pool or a lake is another way to get relief from the summer heat.

In the evening when the temperature goes down try to relax by the pool with a glass of something delicious. I love to have a mojito from time to time but I also tried some new recipes.

The one pictured here is called Ocean Breeze.

To make this you use 1 oz each of Gin, Blue Curacao and Triple Sec. Pour this over ice and add about 3 oz of cold tonic and a slice of lemon. Try it and enjoy!

Stay cool, my friends, the summer is almost over :)

Reusable coffee mug cozy Turquoise

Turquoise is the birthstone of December and while I was taking photographs of some unpolished natural rocks from my husband's rock & mineral collection I felt we just needed to knit something in this bright blue color!
Here it is, a reusable knit coffee cup cozy in turquoise color! I love these little things, they are practical, Earth friendly and works great to keep your coffee or even a hot buttered rum :) hot longer! What a great gift for the holidays!

Beautiful Things - ARCTIDA store

I bought some really great things on Etsy last Fall & Winter. Some prints, some jewelery, some craft supplies. Each time I am unwrapping my new treasure I am thinking: how talented this people are! The ones who created these beautiful things!

So, I'd like to share with you my pleasant experience - who knows, maybe you will like some of their product, too!

The gold & sky blue topaz earrings came all the way from Sweden from ARCTIDA store. Wonderful design! It's simple yet elegant and for those of us who has a round face (I do!) is a thrill! It makes my face visually longer! :) and it really complimented my Holidays gown!

Alecia, the wonderful person who created these earrings, getting her inspiration in crisp polar nights and gleaming Northern lights. Her one of a kind designs inspired by Northern Nature itself! She is a molecular biologist/ cancer researcher at her day job and this helping her to create unique pieces of art!

So please visit her store today to find your One Of A Kind treasure!
