We had a lot of plans for this weekend. Visit parents in Tuscon, see things, maybe even go for a hike at the Tonto Natural Bridge Park which I heard will be closed in September. Suddenly everything was canceled and we did not go anywhere. So the last weekend of the summer was spent at home!It turned out for the better because we had some unexpected things we needed to do.
After everything was done we had a little End Of Summer celebration. Grilled shrimps, BBQ ribs, a little brie, some grapes and a wonderful crisp German Riesling. We also cut our last bunch of bananas from the tree until next year. The summer is gone and I am missing it a little, even know that I don't like the heat too much. Fall is almost here and I am looking forward to the coming holidays!

Thank you, guys :) it is really nice sometime to have a quiet peaceful time just for yourself.
Sometimes staying at home and just relaxing can be an unexpected treat. The food pix look so yummy, great photos, glad you're going to join in this Friday!

Oh my, just look at this gorgeous food. And to think that I just finished a boring sandwich. Perhaps I should start taking photos of food. Then I'd be forced to cook more often.
