Treat for your Valentine

I am making a secret little Valentine treat for my husband. I've decided on homemade chocolate truffles. He is not a big fan of chocolate but he can eat a candy or two from time to time. To me, Valentine is about chocolate, so chocolate it is.

This type of candy are very easy to make and you can play with the ingredients to make your treat special. You will need a couple of days to make them since the mix require some chilling time. I am making it with you - so I am on a day 1 :)

Here is how - day 1

 The ingredients:

12 oz small size semisweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup whipping cream

1 tea spoon instant coffee

1 table spoon of rum or your Valentines' favorite liquor.  

Place the chocolate chips in a bowl. Boil the whipping cream, add instant coffee and pour the liquid over the chocolate chips while boiling hot. Quickly mix with a  wooden spoon to make the mixture smooth. Add rum and mix thoroughly.  Let it cool and  chill it in refrigerator overnight.

Red mood today

It is chilly this morning, just 28"F. If you live in a colder climate you might say: this is great weather! Well, maybe but it still feels like a little too cold for Arizona. I just got some buds on my flowers in the garden but the temperature dropped overnight so we were not ready for this!

Anyway, it's cozy to be inside sitting with cup of coffee, wrapped in my favorite orange blanket and making treasuries. Here is one for you today, in cheerful reds!There is lots of nice items here, please take a closer look!

Valentines is in the air!

I had a nice long walk around our neighborhood yesterday and suddenly realized that things has changed. The households are getting ready for Valentines, there is a lot of reds and pinks in housing decor.
I've got so busy with our daily life that I did not even realized that it's time to think spring! These Valentines decorated houses were like a reminder for me.
Well, we did not forget about our customers and prepared a small collection of Valentines accessories. They are great for wearing any day you feel like having some mood lifting reds! They are cozy, cute and made with love!
