Christmas in July summer sale at Socksandmittens

This summer we are discounting many of our stock items to let customers save on early shopping for Christmas. There are lots of great quality hand knit and crochet items which will make a lovely thoughtful gift for your loved ones.

We were trying to add a variety to our Summer Sale section to give some options. You will find some warm scarves, wraps, knit headbands, gloves and arm warmers. We are also going to add more cable knit cup cozies to the sale section. They always makes a great stocking stuffer and now you will be able to get some of them on sale.

It is a Christmas In July Sale going on right now in our store!

I love to shop for gifts during the year, it is gives me time to shop for the cutest little things I would not find otherwise because of the lack of time right before the Holidays. It also gives me the ability to spread the cost of Christmas through the year. Just a little thing here... or there... I will buy it, anyway!

So I am happy to know that there is a lot of stores on Etsy having sales for Christmas items right now, in fact I've already found some really great things I am planning to get.

New at Socksandmittens - fun fingerless gloves

I've started to list some new products for this fall and winter. I know it is still June but there is always cold temperatures somewhere, right?

Anyway, these are made of 100% wool, they are nice, cozy and looks like fun! I am always thinking Christmas, so I would say these are also suitable as a nice winter Holidays gift! or just to wear in a cold office when working with computer.

A little miracle happened to me yesterday.

My husband and I were shopping at the our local grocery store and when we were loading our purchases to the back of our car I've suddenly heard a little bell ring, right in front of me. I looked down and I saw this tiny Christmas bell! I don't know where it could be coming from, there was not cars or other people around and I don't think a store could carry a Christmas decoration in a summer! So, of course I've picked it up and shook it a little - it made this little jingle noise again! I thought of movie, The Christmas Express, where Santa says to the little boy that Christmas will always be with him as long as he will hear the Christmas bell ... is this a good sign or just my imagination?

Whatever it is, I took the bell, brought it home and put it together with my little handmade treasures. I've also started a framing process of my Santa's stitching I've made last year. I thought of best finish for it for a long time and actually I was going to finish it as a ornament but for some reason I found a framed picture more attractive - what do you think? How would YOU finish this design?

By the way, our acrylic socks are great to use all year round - I am wearing mine in a garden with my cloggs or around the house, the bare floor is still too cold for me! And gloves - they are great to type in in a cold office or use it for work inside of that huge refrigerator - believe me, I've been there!
